Laura Mercier Velour Puff

Mine lives on my vanity now because I use it every time I do a full face. It's simple, but it makes setting my makeup much easier.

I finally stopped using random makeup sponges to apply my loose powder and bought this instead. It gives me much better control over how much powder I'm pressing into my skin.

I use this with my Laura Mercier setting powder and the combination works beautifully. I press instead of rubbing, and my foundation stays looking smooth underneath.

The puff feels really soft and comfortable against my face. I especially like using it around my nose and chin where my makeup tends to move first.

I've washed mine several times and it has held up nicely so far. As long as I let it dry completely, it comes back soft and ready to use again.

Much nicer than the little puffs I've used in the past. It feels substantial in my hand and makes it easy to work the powder evenly across my face.

I have oily skin and like to really press powder into my T-zone. This picks up enough product without dumping a huge amount onto one spot.

The texture is incredibly soft. I was worried it might tug at my makeup when I pressed it onto my skin, but everything underneath stays in place.

I've started using the puff to lightly set under my eyes before doing the rest of my face with a brush. It helps me be more precise in that smaller area.

I like slipping my fingers under the band because it keeps the puff steady while I'm pressing powder onto my skin. It makes the application quick and easy.

This is one of those makeup tools I didn't think I needed until I actually tried it. Now using a big brush for all of my setting powder feels way less controlled.

I bought this after watching my makeup artist use a puff instead of a brush. My powder looks less messy now, especially around the sides of my nose.
