This product is part of a two-step cleansing system. Although I don't own the first step and can't comment on how they work together, I can say that this product alone works wonderfully. It is highly hydrating and specifically designed to treat dry skin. When I use it, I don't experience flaky skin, especially around my temples and the sides of my face, which are usually dry. It effectively moisturizes these areas without making the rest of my face oily. The product has a mild scent that doesn't bother me, and the bottle features a lock system to prevent accidental pumping during travel or if it's dropped or bumped.
